Could that meeting have been an email? That support phone call, a better online dashboard? That consultation, an e-book? That sale, an online order? How much of what you do in the physical presence of customers could be done virtually?

It’s great seeing each other face to face, and we definitely don’t want to lose this beauty of human contact in life or business. But the world is changing. And whether you and all your customers are under coronavirus quarantine, or you just want to empower your customers under normal circumstances to save time, by giving the option to manage their account or buy your product/service online, it’s time to start thinking about how to expand your business’s digital capacity.

A powerful website should be able to increase leads, facilitate sales, empower self-service, and even augment your revenue by expanding new digital products and services that you haven’t even considered.

If you have a business, you already have the legal and administrative ...

With the Coronavirus shutting down the global economy and forcing people to stay in their homes, there is a lot of uncertainty about what comes next, how long we will be sheltering at home, and what massive economic impact this will have.

These are troubling times with many questions, but one thing is for certain: we are living in a new world. We must adapt.

How is your business or organization going to be impacted by this new reality? If this lasts more than a few weeks, or happens again in the future, is your business ready to operate at least part of it's services digitally? Are there parts of your business that can continue virtually if you had a more sophisticated website?

For the past twenty years, business has been slowly migrating online, but most small businesses still don't even have a website, or if they do, it's a little more than a business card. Very few businesses have thought about how to leverage the incredible power of the internet to capture leads, drive sales, ...

Return on Investment

A great website should be one of the most vital parts of your business strategy, not only easily paying for itself but driving a significant portion (if not all) of your business sales. We have clients whose businesses were completely transformed by their website. They saw what worked and now invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in their website year after year, because it delivers a great return on investment.

Unfortunately, many people "get a website" because they think it's what they are "supposed to do". They don't have a strategic plan for integrating their website into their business' success. And they think an $8/mo website is a good deal. But they never stop to ask what that basic website is actually costing, in terms of lost revenue and opportunity!

If you ask the business owner who makes $1,000,000 from their $100,000 per year investment, who would they say is getting the better deal?

It's not so much a matter of how much you spend, but ROI for ...

This article is part of an ongoing series about what makes Gutensite special. See the first article "Content Management Systems vs. Visual Website Builders".

If your website isn't one of the prime catalysts for your organization's success, if it doesn't provide a return on investment, then something is wrong. You are missing an opportunity. Your website should not only pay for itself, but it should be an integral part of your business strategy that generates leads, facilitates sales, reduces customer service costs, provides services and information that increases customer satisfaction, and in short makes your organization profitable with measurable ROI.

We never want organizations to spend money they can't afford on a service that doesn't bring them value. But these days the costs are low, you don't need a web developer on staff at $5,000+/mo. Our most expensive package ($95/mo) is less than the cost of a capuccino per day. If you don't think your website brings at least as much ...

After a lot of research, brainstorming and programming, we are proud to announce the release of our brand new packages. These new packages are designed to help organizations of every size afford a beautiful and powerful website that helps them succeed at whatever stage they are currently operating at and give them the boost and flexibility to grow to the next level.

If you are subscribed to an old package you can stay where you are. But since most people will benefit from the changes, you can easily upgrade to a new package in the Control Panel > Admin > Billing Info > Upgrade Options.

Reason for New Packages

One of the main motivating factors was our desire to provide outstanding, proactive customer service to everyone. We have never liked restricting our customer service to only the Pro package, but we also knew that great support requires great people that commit their time to helping. This is why our previous packages were mostly differentiated by the availability of ...

Have you ever been seduced by a beautiful gallery and a smooth interface promising you a quick and easy way to make a free website? Only to sign up and waste hours before you realize it's a lot harder than it looks, the promised functionality is lacking and you aren't a talented enough designer to keep your site from looking like a stinking pile of discarded Excel files?

Here are the top five problems you'll encounter with cheap website services.

  1. Advertise our Hot Widget Sauce. If you blog about widgets, you'll start seeing ads for your competitors widgets appearing directly on your site.
  2. Combo Meal #3 Please. The functionality is very limited, and there's no ordering off the menu. If your business needs things to work a special way... "go fish."
  3. Little Boxes Made of Ticky-Tacky. You will have a website... just like millions of other businesses. And they'll all look just the same. You want to have a custom design, that supports your brand? Don't be silly.
  4. I've Fallen and I ...
